Our History

Hi, I'm Margeaux, owner of Zago Papers.

I moved to New Mexico in 1995 only to discover that no paper store existed in Santa Fe! Having moved from Chicago, where I had been working as an artist for fifteen years, I was accustomed to frequenting the lovely paper stores in Chicago, as well as those in Europe, for my work. Since I didn't have access to what I needed in Santa Fe, I knew that hundreds of other artists here were also missing something central to their work--exquisite papers. So, in 1996 I opened Zago Papers, a very specialized store, which, for eight years, sold quality papers from around the world. As the business grew I began designing invitations, announcements, menus, programs and many other items using these papers. The retail end of the business is now closed and I continue to provide design service for my private clients. Please view examples of the work and feel free to contact me!
